  • West Chester, Pa – January, 2008 – Gilmore’s, an eleven table BYOB in downtown West Chester has been the target of several anti foie gras protests. With the Philadelphia Animal Rights Meet Up Group announcing a “Day for Ducks” on Saturday February 2nd at 6pm, Peter Gilmore refuses to back down.

I am in the customer service business; what the customer wants, the customer gets.” The protests began in November on Friday nights. Gilmore mentions that …

  • I’ve been invited to attend this year’s Wing Bowl on February 1 in Philly. I’ve been warned that it’s “like the craziest frat party you’ve ever been to.” But if it has to do with food… I’ll be there.

In doing research for the event I came across this link showing video clips of potential “wingettes” (huh?) and crazy food challenges like eating (man vs. dog eating 5lbs of hamburger).

Check it out for yourself. Strong stomachs only.
