Not that I misbehaved or anything, but all that driving, chatting, tasting and, well, OK, some sipping, got the best of me. (Plus, it’s allergy season, and we’re on deadline: the perfect storm.)

April 30 Annual Awards Dinner Honors Three Local Business Women
March 22nd, 2009 1 CommentEXTON, Pa. – An evening of awards, networking and camaraderie will be capped off with a keynote address by Emmy-winning TV personality Janet Zappala.
On Thursday, April 30, the Women’s Referral Network of Chester County (WRN) will host its Annual Awards Dinner at the Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern. Highlights include the WRN Business Woman of the Year Award, Advocate for Women in Business Award, Corporate Citizen Award, dinner, a Silent Auction, networking and Zappala’s keynote.
“We’re thrilled to be honor three of Chester County’s finest,” said WRN President Paula Paisley. “Their accomplishments and Janet’s remarks highlight how our members live the WRN’s mission to support women in business.”

March 22nd, 2009 No CommentsHistoric Yellow Springs (HYS) will host its annual “Membrewship Party” on March 28 between 6:30 and 10 p.m. This year’s gathering is sponsored by First Resource Bank.
The event is free to all members of HYS and those who join that evening. Membership is $30 for individuals and $50 for families comprised of two adults in the same household.
This year’s “Membrewship Party” will feature sampling beers from nine area companies, including Victory Brewing Co., Lancaster Brewing Co., Dogfish Head, Royersford Brewery, Magic Hat, Philadelphia Brewing Co., Sly Fox, Hook and Ladder, and Exton Beverage.
