Baxter’s changed ownership in 2009. Baxter’s downstairs bar, formerly called “Ruby’s” now bears the “Baxter’s” name.  The upstairs restaurant is now called the Ram’s Head Bar and Grill.

A perfect spot for American fare with a little Irish flavor. The cozy atmosphere and central location are perfect for a downtown lunch, dinner with friends or drinks.

Ruby’s, a college drinking spot downstairs has late-night music and entertainment.

WC Dish recommends: We like anything with crab meat and hollandaise sauce. Luckily there are a lot of things on the menu with these two items.

Went there last night and was pleasantly surprised. Read the reviews on here and wasn't sure what to expect. Service was great, food was good although the menu isn't very exciting. Nice drink menu. Four in my group and all enjoyed their meals.

Sports bar with so-so food. The scene is ok when it is not packed with drunk college kids. Have had many good times there but it still pains me to give it a C grade. Not recommended if you want to go out to eat, only as a good hang-out spot.

Server told us it was a new menu and new chef. The crab stuffed soft pretzel was excellent for an appetizer. My wife and I both had prime rib for dinner and it was very good. Service was good and so were the drinks. I would definitly go back.

Food was pathetically bad...spinach dip looked like someone had eaten half of it by the time it got to our table and our meals were tasteless. Service poor. They took part of it off our bill. Nice place, but won't ever go back for anything other than a drink, if that.
