The Blue Pear Bistro is the new restaurant from the Dilworthtown Inn.

Housed in the former Dilworthtown General Store, the 18th century threshold unveils a 21st century “hip-storic” bistro. Radiating with iridescent hues of gold and amber, the stylish interior kindles the bistro’s laid-back aura. A wall of crushed gold glass shimmers behind the mahogany bar. Upstairs, the chocolate leather settees summon lounging and relaxation. Outdoor dining on the front porch calms the pace of village passersby.

“Blue Pear Bistro is a contemporary New American with a happening bar.”–ZAGAT

Open six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 4:00 pm to midnight. Bar service begins at 4:00 pm and dinner service at 5:00 pm. Reservations suggested. The bistro’s interior is completely smoke-free and offers an outdoor smoking patio.

“This is a casual, grown-up bistro that provides exactly what the area needs: a good, thoughtful, modern meal in a quietly sophisticated atmosphere.”–LifeStyle Magazine

WC Dish Recommends:

Escargot and Tuna Tartar… they are quite possibly the best two dishes I’ve had all year. Perfect.

  • Look, I have been cooking for a long time, some professionally and some for pleasure. I am of the opinion that most of the dishes I get out at restaurants I could re-create in my kitchen equally as well, if not better, and for a fraction of the price. Blue Pear is no such creature. This is a place that never lets me down. I honestly never leave feeling like I should have just stayed home. The offerings are not terribly original, but often perfectly executed and fairly priced. Also, the fact that they charge only $10 corking fee for byo service makes Blue Pear Bistro a winner.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and perfectly prepared to our wishes ~ the wait staff attentive and pleasant. I agree with John regarding the second floor. As we walked through the bar area, we could tell it was going to be very loud ~ that is not our preference. Limited close parking, which was fine for us, but others might want to be aware. There was a big lot with the adjoining restaurant that is next door ~ but a walk none the less. Cheers! PS: We will be back.

I'm more of a simple food eater who likes great ambiance, and this was a great place for it. The chicken nuggets in the flower pot, grilled cheese, and burger & fries were all excellent.

If you're taking a date you might want to request something on the second floor, the first floor area is small and you're right next to a bar that can get loud with people coming over from the Inn.
