Penn’s Table: Where the locals go. duh.
Located in the heart of historic downtown West Chester and across the street from the Chester County Courthouse, you will find a casual American eatery that brings comfort and hospitality to those who dine there. Penn’s Table Restaurant offers a delicious menu of home cooked fare the way Mom used to make it. The local favorites include; Homemade Soups, Famous Chicken Salad, In-House Roasted Turkey and “hot-off-the- griddle”, thick French Toast and Buttermilk Pancakes, just to name a few.
Penn’s Table serves breakfast all day, everyday, along with a daily lunch menu and dinner on Thursday through Saturday. Enjoy sitting in a cozy booth, dining outside in the warm weather or experiencing the “counter culture” for a conversation or a front row seat to see all the action.
Being a family owned and operated restaurant, the staff is dedicated to providing excellent service combined with delicious food in a relaxed and personal atmosphere for all who walk through their door. This is the place where the customer’s fill up the “wall of fame” and the staff knows your name!
If you haven’t been to Penn’s Table in a while, treat yourself to a restaurant experience that has set the standard for West Chester since 1952.
WC Dish recommends: Pancakes and milkshakes.

Love the prices at the new Penn’s Table in Eagleview but have been there four times and the eggs or omelets have been brown every time. Don’t know if the grill is too hot or orders not watched but I would like to see this restaurant succeed and I have heard the same comment from other people

I love Penn’s Table. I usually have the fried egg sandwich or the cheerios! Clean as a whistle and the funniest chef in town!

Just like DK Diner down the other end of Gay Street, Penn’s Table is all about meeting and exceeding the expectations of a formula restaurant. In this case it’s the diner that isn’t in a diner. The breakfast/lunch counter place with booths. And they do a great job: Friendly service with a personal touch, clean, tasty food, served hot with no surprises, and breakfast anytime.
All this understandably attracts a regular and loyal clientele that grows as the non-regulars discover the place.
Friendly, dependable, hot and tasty with fair prices and comfortable ambience. What more could you want?

Best breakfast in town, hands down. The staff is young, friendly and always willing to talk with you. Sit at the counter for the real deal.

Our hangout–great food and people.

If you want a true West Chester landmark try Penns Table for breakfast. I try to go there in the winter when it snows. Everyone is friendly and it’s mostly locals. The food is wholesome and reasonable.

Penn’s Table is a must for West Chester foodies. The following are bullet pointed notes for the readers’ pleasure:
- Great diner atmosphere but in a non diner area.
- My fav is the french dip style roast beef sandwhich. When I was for horseradish, wait staff always politely asks, “sauce or cream”
- Wait staff note: very attractive and friendly ladies”
- pickles always fresh
- While waiting for freinds, enjoy the newspapers on the front stoop – veru old school and cool.
Overall, this is a very friendly place with great diner style food. I even like the placemats that adversise local businesses.Overall – on the “diner food scale” We give honorably give Penn’s table 9.1 “THAT BLUE YAK” stars out of 10. Keep up the great work Penn’s Table.

A true favorite of mine. The service is always great, and you can’t get a better meal for the price. Two people can easily have dinner for $15 or less. Try the grilled reuben, it’s fantastic!
