Outstanding Valentine's Day dinner! My wife and I ordered different dishes and shared a taste - terrific! The waiter was informative with his suggestions and patient as we made our selections. The champagne served in great grandmom's glasses and a rose made for a memorable evening. Thank you!

By far, my favorite restaurant around. Joe and Margaret cannot be nicer and more accommodating. If you are lucky enough to have some of Joe's crabcakes, you'll never find any that are as good or have as much crab as his. At some places, you have to search for the crab. With these, you have to search for the filler. This being a BYOB makes it even better. Prices are reasonable but food is superb. If Margaret has made her chocolate cake, have some for dessert.

Went last night for our anniversary. What a wonderful place! The special appetizer was local tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, and it was amazing. My wife got the smoked provolone and asparagus ravioli and I had the chicken kabob. We were both blown away by the superior quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. We'll be back!

By far one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always fresh and well prepared. The hummus is amazing but be warned you wont want to eat hummus from anywhere else. I love the Kabobs both the chicken and steak. And if you can fit dessert in the apple pie is out of this world! If you are a real foodie you must try this. You will not be disappointed!

Visited Mediterranean early-ish on a Friday night. We were seated upstairs with a view of Gay Street. Servers were friendly and helpful. Loved the feta-olive appetizer. I wanted the stuffed mushrooms and our waiter allowed me to order it as a dinner instead of an app and added fresh asparagus and broccoli rabe to the platter -- delicious! Hubby had the ahi skewer with a parsley-onion side dish as well as hummus and rice. He loved it. Whoever said Mediterranean is a hidden gem is correct. Whole food done to perfection, and the price is right too. We will definitely return. (Wish I could say the same about the restroom -- out of paper towels and toilet paper.)

Mediterranean is awesome. Very fresh food, exciting flavors, and simple selections, done well. Just one suggestion, and I hate to say this: Wear hair nets! I've found a hair in my food three out of the five times I've been there, and I'm talking about a thick, black Mediterranean hair! As odd as it sounds, I still ate each of my meals anyway because they were so good.

The Med is definitly one of West Chester's hidden treasures. They have the best food - everything is served fresh and plentiful. The prices are great, so bring your whole family. You won't be disappointed! This is my favorite restaurant in Chester County. You should give it a try.

I've been to the Mediterranean several times and have never had a bad experience. We just slipped in there the other night when all the other 'hot spots' in town were overly crowded. We were seated immediately and served by the owner, who sort of reminds me of the Soup Nazi, but in a good way! After we complimented him on this being the best hummus we've ever tasted, he told us they make their hummus fresh daily. I would highly recommend the Tuna Skewers that were on special that night, but the Falafel is always delicious as well. Being a non-meat eater, I appreciate the menu at Mediterrean having many savory seafood and vegetarian options. Definetly save room for the baklava, its well worth the extra calories! We will continue to enjoy this true West Chester gem!

The "Med" is one of our favorites in West Chester. The kabobs (esp. lamb) are a win every time and you must try the mushroom appetizer - very simple, but fresh.

Joe's hummus is the lightest and creamiest I've ever had & I've yet to replicate it at home.

We reserved the 2nd floor last year for a private Christmas dinner. Joe put together a great prix fix menu and eveyone loved it.

I agree that the upstairs is preferable to the 1st floor, but the one time we ate downstairs I have to admit that I found the kitchen banter entertaining.

We will keep going back! BYOB makes it one of the most affordable nights out in West Chester.

I recently ate at the Mediterranean for the first time. The place was really crowded and a little cramped, but the food was great. Everything was really fresh and had a great flavor. The lamb kabob was cooked perfectly and the side dishes were quite tasty.

This place is FAR from trendy and even farther from convenient. When making a reservation be sure to request the upstairs, otherwise you will be listening to the owners (husband & wife) arguing the ENTIRE time you are dining. I had a hard time enjoy my so called "natural" filet due to the noise coming from the kitchen. Likeliness to return - NEVER!

This is a nice cozy place with good food. Our server was nice. Joe, one of the owners is a real sweetheart. I had the lamb pita it comes with a wonderful side salad so crisp and green. the lamb was broiled to perfection very flavorful & tender. The baklava was done with sugar not honey, which is Lebanese or Egyptian style - Honey is used for the Greek. baklava.
I would definitely recommend The Mediterranean.

Ate at Mediterranean last weekend because I wanted a taste of Greece (where I was this summer). The special seafood bisque was very yummy, and my wife's salmon special was cooked just right--not overdone like so many places. The peaches didn't do much for it, but is was a nicely conceived dish. I had the kibbie, which was ok. The appetizers were very good. Definitely a place to go back to.

I took my sister who was down visiting from Maine to the Mediterranean this spring. Since her teenage son was over in Greece on a school trip it seemed a fitting choice to have lunch. We sat upstairs and had a window view of Market Street. Our waiter was very friendly. My sister had the Lamb kabob Pita while I had the Falafel. We both ordered iced tea to go with our dishes. The food was excellent. Since than my boyfriend and I have ordered the Hummus, Maza Platter, Shrimp Pita and Veggie Pita. It has become one of our favorite places for take out this summer- nothing better than enjoying some good food outside on the back patio. Food is excellent- recommended. We are headed over tonight for more takeout!

Other than a crappy waitress, because she had to take a table so late (sorry, my teehting, infant daughter made it difficult to leave the house)...the food was fantastic. Hopefully this waitress can improve her attitude to compliment the excellent menu.

Great greek salads. Yummy falafel. Nice wait staff. Small and a bit tight, but very cozy too.

If you're in the mood for a BYOB and something a bit different, you may want to check this place out.
