West Chester Dish

I went to this wonderful restaurant for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is impeccable. We had a prix-fixed menu for the dinner so I wasn't able order from the full menu, but what we had was delicious. I would strongly recommend Alberto's for small-to-medium dinner parties. It is a great place with great food!

WOW.. this place is great... you would walk past and think it's just another restaurant, but NO it is AWESOME!!

The wait staff was VERY knowledgeable (Philly 4-star knowledgeable). the found was amazing.

Great restaurant! Ask for Nick for your waiter, the best!! Excellent food at a decent price with a nice atmosphere. Strongly recommend trying...especially dover sole/filet at tableside!

We almost missed this lovey restaurant, while we were drawn to bolder storefronts. What a shame if we had, because my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We ate at the bar, and drank one of the delicious red wines made by the proprietor,which our bartender (waitress) suggested. On the way home we kept saying, "What was the name of that wine? It started with a "C". It was so delicious." The glasses were delicate and let the perfume of the wine creep up before every sip.
My seafood appetizer was fresh and briny. The squid was perfect and delicate, the scallops just right, but the shrimp had a little iodine aftertaste. The mussels were divine. I was just complaining to my mother the previous night that a tasty mussel was not to be had. When I was a child, we used to pull the mussels off the rocks in Maryland, and run home to the cookpot. I haven't had a really sweet mussel since, though I've purchased many in fish markets and ordered many in restaurants. These were luscious. Thanks for that!
My husbands's pasta with mushrooms and sausage had a delicious sauce, but was a bit too al dente for our taste. Next time we'll ask for the americanized version of pasta (a little longer cooking time.) The bread was the only disappointment. It was rather flavorless.
The Trattoria is very beautiful inside.
The rooms were like time out of time. We had just gone to settlement on a new house and were very uptight. We left so very relaxed, satisfied, and content.
I can't remember names, but our waitress was a West Chester grad student with dark hair. She was really charming and interesting to talk to, with warm manners and careful attention.
