No wonder it went under the food was overpriced and they also had the worst bar tender in the history of chester county. I think his name is Patrick. Thanks for the music though!

We hope this is not the end of an era. The last bastion of gold standard jazz and blues in the tri-state area can’t be gone forever. Vincent’s was always about the music, Upstairs was a quirky but atmospheric space with a vibe that can’t be imitated. Old school world-class musicians for a $3 cover? Please tell us it was not a dream… New owners will bring it back, right?

This place is over priced and not worth the money you pay. The enviornment is ok, but the food needs a bit more flavor/seasoning.

I ordered the Crab Cakes and expected something super good, considering the price of $24.75. The portions are too small and you only get ONE crab cake.

I don’t have any plans of dining again, but will consider visiting their up-stairs jazz lounge. Also, they need to extend their menu a bit more.

Went to Vincent’s for dinner Friday night; the menu has changed, they have a new chef and everything was delicious. I had the New England Clam Chowder which was the best I have ever had and the Shrimp Lejon, again delicious. The service and food was incredible, I would highly recommend.

Is this place still for sale? If so through who?

This place is a personal ULTRA TEFLON. I love it, I love the friendly atmosphere, the servers are relaxed and human, and there’s great music upstairs if you’re out late.

This place has been going downhill for years. There is a reason it’s for sale.

I recently went to dinner at Vincents with some friends. I stated in an eariler review that I always loved the bar and enjoyed having a drink there. This time I tried the main courses in the dining room. I’m sorry, but the food was underwhelming at best. The room was mostly empty and somehow it had lost its warmth that I remembered from years ago. But mostly it was the poor food.

When I walked in some poor guy was carrying a garbarge can out the front door. (not sure where he was going with it) This place has such potential but someone better take charge or it will be history.

Tried this restaurant for the second time and I’m still not impressed with either the service or the food.

This has always been my favorite place to have a drink. Billy the bartender is old school and he knows everyone. The atmosphere is nice in the restaurant but the bar area desperately needs a good sound system and better lighting. Jazz is their thing after all. The best kept secret in West Chester is the inexpensive and excellent dinners at the bar.

Was at Vincent’s for a recent private party with the choice of a few entrees for dinner. I can honestly say the sauce on the filet tasted like it was straight out of a can and the salad was about as interesting as eating lettuce straight out of the refrigerator. The only saving grace for the entire dinner was the good tortellini alfredo.

    Lauren is the best waitress…

The friendly staff puts Vincent’s on the top of my WC resturant list! The food is great- you are able to carry on meaningful conversations while you listen to Al at the piano on Friday and Saturday nights.

I have always found Vincent’s to be a restaurant everyone enjoys. One of my favorite entrees is the salmon… it just melts in your mouth! The crab crepes are to die for not to mention their desserts! Ask the bartenders to make you a martini and you will be blow away! The late night atmosphere is lively and hip… something for everyone to enjoy! You will not be disappointed!

Review Guidelines
Be Respectful. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Although the old saying, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," is swell, we encourage constructive feedback (ie, be polite), and recommend backing-up your comments with evidence/witnesses.

Be Honest. Look where it got Abe Lincoln. Well, before the evening at the theater.

We don't recommend complaining just for the sake of it (see number 1), but if you have a legitimate comment, it should be shared. Also, don't hesitate to disagree with other comments, even if your opinion is in the minority. If patrons aren't honest about their experiences, restaurants won't know that there is room for improvement. And there always is.

Be Specific. "The food was good" doesn't cut it.

Each dining experience is unique, so if a dining experience moves you in any way, by all means, share the details. Choose the sensory details that impacted your experience the most and describe them in your postings. Other foodies will gobble it up—literally.

Be Concise. 'Nuf said.

What? We thought it was pretty clear the first time.

Be Helpful. Sort of like how the elves and reindeer help Santa.

Will what you have to say improve the restaurant's ability to provide impeccable service and improve the dining experience for others (again, see number 1)? If so... help away.

Show a Little Pride. No Jane or John Does please.

If you are too embarrassed to put your name as the commenter, you probably should re-evaluate your comments (you know the drill... see number 1). If you have sensitive information that you feel needs to be passed along, please use your best judgment and e-mail it to us to avoid public posting. We don't want you to have any post-post regrets.

Don't Name Names. Let's not get too personal here.

We know you want to share your experiences, both good and bad, but this isn't the place to publicly condemn or praise individual people. Feel free to comment on "the service", "the chef", or "the staff", but any positive or negative mention of specific names will be moderated.
